BASIC THINGS: Random poetry

No.1: Basic Things

Of your (modern) computer history:

Started off with atanasoff-berry

It was no cake but still a penny

compared to the next Mcflurrie

Presper and Mauchly, Neumann and Aiken,

famed for their names and their metal titans

unsung heroes are Flowers and his

noble minions

who sunk into mines with The Colossus

abysmal no more, their stories rewind

All shall hear of their reprise

enigma fighters, pioneers and all

Disclaimer: Babbage you will be remembered for all

So, I've been learning how to do HTML5 with Andy Harris' HTML5 and CSS3 for Dummies. Today's lesson was making unordered lists and this is the first unordered html list-poem I came up with in my life. The ABC computer by John Atanasoff and Clifford Berry has been neglected for many years even though John Mauchly very likely got inspired by it before embarking on the ENIAC. It is an unsung pioneer of our computing technology.

More random things can be found here (the html webpage I made with Harris' guidance):

If you want to learn HTML too and like me haven't had any experience his book is really good!

Ciao!
